Lisa Rajigah from the Sundance Institute Shares Advice with Students

February 26th, 2019

Yesterday JPCatholic hosted a talk followed by a Q&A session with Lisa Rajigah, who is Information Technology Coordinator at the Sundance Institute. Ms. Rajigah’s visit to JPCatholic came about through an arrangement with Prof. Nathan Scoggins, whom she met earlier this month at Sundance 2019.

Rajigah shared some reflections on the 2019 Festival, as well as her experience in working as a data analyst for the Institute. She offered pointers to the students gathered there who might want to become involved with Sundance and perhaps see their work premiered there one day.

Among other things, she emphasized the Institute’s commitment to including diverse voices in the Festival’s slate of features, short films, and documentaries. She also encouraged students to become involved in the many outreach programs that the Institute offers in addition to the film festival itself, such as volunteer work, touring summer filmmaking workshops, and the Ignite Fellowship, a mentorship program for young filmmakers.
