Speaker Series: Tim Reckart, Director of “The Star”

On October 24^th, JPCatholic welcomed animator and director Timothy Reckart to campus for the Impacting Culture Speaker Series. Tim shared his career story with students, as well as his insights on how to live out your artistic vocation.

Tim’s career in animation was launched with his short film Head Over Heels, which was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 85th Academy Awards. His debut feature film, Sony Pictures Animation's The Star (2017), was nominated for two Annie Awards and a Golden Globe. He was also an animator on Charlie Kaufman's film Anomalisa, and animated various projects for companies such as Buzzfeed, Amazon, and Aardman Animations.
