As artists, innovators, and followers of Jesus, we need one another to joyfully live out our mission to Impact Culture for Christ. We'd be honored if you would join us for a weekend of reconnection, celebration, and prayer in June 2026. The event will be held on our campus in Escondido, at our new Creative Arts Complex.

5:00pm: Check-in & Cocktail Hour

6:00pm: Welcome from the President & Opening Prayer

Founding President Dr. Derry Connolly will give a brief welcome address and open the weekend in prayer. Tacos from The Villa on Grand (located on Grand Ave) will be served. Dessert and drinks will be provided.

7:00pm: Introductions

There will be an overview of the weekend and our alumni resources from Maria Fennell, Director of Professional Connections. Then, alumni will briefly introduce themselves to the group. You'll be able to hear from alumni of all graduation years, who you can connect with throughout the weekend.

8:00pm: Eucharistic Adoration

Fr. Dominic Smith, OSA (JPCatholic Class of 2018) will offer a brief reflection, Eucharistic adoration, and confession. There will be music from alum musicians.

9:30pm: Evening Opportunities

Alumni are invited to continue chatting, spend time in the chapel, enjoy local venues like O'Sullivans and Upper East, or go line dancing at Moonshine Flats.

8:00am–11:00am: Rosary & Games at the Beach

Join us to start the day with prayer, community, and beach games! Rosary will be at 9am. It is recommended to bring a beach towel or chair and sunscreen. Breakfast snacks and iced coffee will be provided.

11:00am–1:00pm: Beach Departure & Break for Lunch

Free time to connect with other alumni and explore local lunch options in Encinitas or Escondido. Alumni interested in attending the professional showcase should be back at JPCatholic by 1pm sharp.

Join us for a series of brief presentations from alumni working in various professional fields, spotlighting their work, accomplishments, and companies.

Join Prof. Riley for a masterclass and discussion. Alums attending this session should plan to be there for the full duration.

2:00pm–4:50pm: Acting Workshop with Prof. Lee Eskey: "Acting and the Christian Life"

Acting masterclass + discussion with Prof. Eskey. Alums have the option to bring a monologue or scene, but it is not required. Alums attending this session should plan to be there for the full duration. This session is for acting alumni only.

2:00pm–3:30pm: Theology/Philosophy Seminar with Fr. Andy Younan: "Parable of the Talents"

Fr. Andy will lead a seminar discussion with alumni on the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30).

3:30pm–4:50pm: Business Workshop with Prof. Jerry Jackson: "Four Minutes: Decision-Making Under Pressure"

What can you do in four minutes? Discussion on crisis leadership, pivots, and high-stakes decision making as a business manager and leader.

3:30pm–4:50pm: Creative Writing Workshop with Prof. Megan Eccles: "Rewilding Your Creativity"

This workshop will reconnect you with the spiritual gift of your creative self, letting it grow as a wild thing that can be nurtured and set free. Come ready to write– paper and pen, no tech.

5:00pm–6:00pm: Alumni Panel: "Success Without Applause"

God has given us a divine spark to fill with world with truth, beauty, and goodness, but nurturing that spark is easier said than done. Gratification is rarely immediate when we are doing truly impactful work, and most of us are making small steps to fulfill our callings without the validation of the external world. Come listen to four of your fellow alumni share their struggles and successes impacting culture and measuring success without applause.

Alumni and students will come together for Sunday Mass. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dominic Smith, OSA ('18 Alum).

10:00am: Coffee & Pastries, Closing Remarks

Join in fellowship to close the weekend's festivities, and bid farewell to the Connollys and fellow alumni.
