Marlowe Palomar Heights is a brand new complex recently built on Grand Ave, and JPCatholic is taking advantage of this opportunity to provide our students with a higher-quality residential experience. This means upgraded apartments, modern floorplans, better amenities, enhanced security, and a more strategic location near shops, restaurants, and downtown Escondido.

The transition will begin in the Fall 2025 quarter. The majority of our students will begin living at Marlowe at the start of the Fall Quarter, while a subset of students (primarily upperclassmen males) will remain at Latitude 33 for one more quarter. By Winter 2025, we will be completely moved out of Latitude 33. Students should refer to their email from Student Life to see their housing assignment for Fall 2025.

Marlowe features brand-new apartments that were just completed this year, offering upgraded finishes, high-end appliances, and thoughtfully designed modern layouts. The community includes significantly more common areas and spaces for recreation and socializing. Located in a more walkable part of Escondido, Marlowe also brings students closer to the shops, cafés, and restaurants along Grand Avenue.

There will be a slight increase in residential costs for 2025-2026 at Marlowe. The Triple Bedroom will be $90 more per quarter, and the Double Bedroom will be $150 more per quarter. This comes to $3,090 per Quarter for a Triple Bedroom and $3,450 per Quarter for a Double Bedroom.

No Single Bedrooms are available.

About one mile east of Marlowe there are several options for groceries including Wal-Mart, Albertons, ALDI, and Vallarta. Because this is a farther walking distance than our previous arrangement, JPCatholic will provide shuttle services throughout the week to assist students who don’t have their own vehicle. Please stay tuned for more details on this service.

As we have at Latitude, JPCatholic plans to lease a unit at Marlowe to be used as a common area for our students.

Marlowe provides a secure bike garage that is available to all residents.

The parking at Marlowe will be similar to Latitude. Students who pay for parking will have a reserved parking spot within the community. Priority will be given to upperclassmen.

As before, students will submit maintenance requests to JPCatholic, who will submit it to Marlowe. Expect quicker response times!

Each unit will have access to high speed internet. In addition there is wifi available in the common areas of Marlowe.

The Marlowe community as well as individual units are accessed by Key FOB. JPCatholic will continue to provide our own security service, which includes security guards monitoring the campus buildings at night and available to escort students between campus and housing.
