Stories impact us in profound ways. They have the power to shape hearts, inspire minds, and shed light on the human experience. They influence culture, challenge assumptions, and help us see the world (and ourselves) through new eyes. At their best, they draw us closer to God by pointing to Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.

How This Class Develops Your Storytelling for Video Games
Screenwriting Student (Screenwriter of Pickle for Pickleball)
“I never expected that an idea I had during an introductory screenwriting course would be produced as an actual feature film four years later! The opportunity to pitch your movie to professionals and receive immediate feedback is an experience that is hard to come by. I highly recommend for students to write outside the box, and follow that crazy logline to the very end. You never know – maybe it'll be JPCatholic's next feature film.”

“The fact I ended up at JPCatholic was the biggest plot twist God wrote into my life. I’ve been publishing since I was 16, and even took a gap year to work and focus on writing. However, I wanted to grow in my faith and have a Catholic community to grow with. JPCatholic was able to give me both of the things I love together. Here I’ve been able to create connections and friendships I never would have dreamed of, meeting people of all different paths and walks of life. I even founded a household, The Siena Society, to help women grow through their art and their faith.”

“People say that starting is the hardest thing to do as a writer. That’s a lie - the hardest thing to do is to finish. You get busy with life, you say I’ll finish it some day - that’s also a lie. Finish it now! You can do it. It takes dedication and it takes endurance. You can never call yourself a writer until you finish something. And when you finish something it’s the most rewarding thing in the world.”
