The Writer's Block
The purpose of the Writers' Block is to provide students interested in creative writing with opportunities to refine their craft and give feedback on one another's work. We believe that God is the ultimate Storyteller and as such, we as His children, created in His image and likeness, are called to mirror Him by what J. R. R. Tolkien termed “sub-creation” or using the materials that God has given us, including our own imaginations, to create secondary worlds of our own.
Our meetings are biweekly and alternate between formal workshops, including reading and critiques of original work and more informal exercise sessions geared toward improving one's craft and fellowship between like-minded writers.
