“In this project, I stepped out of my comfort zone a fair bit. I tried out parallax windows (ended up scrapping them unfortunately since they didn't look right, but still learned a lot), made dust particles in Niagara, explored the Movie Render Queue, did a lot of texture editing within Unreal Engine so I could quickly reuse materials, played around with the curve tool and quad draw (which I've used before but needed a refresher), and learned a ton about lighting. I also edited the texture found within the kitbashed picture frames to hold my own art pieces instead of the provided ones, which was fun since I had to add some filters to get it to match the antique look. I made as many modelled pieces as I could to be reusable, aiming for a semi-modular kit. This project took a while, but I'm proud of how it turned out. I hope you enjoy! Made by me using Maya, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine 5.4, and kitbashed props. Base layout and furniture modeled by me, small props such as tea cups & spoons found in Fab asset packs.”
