Alumni Success

JPCatholic’s project-based degree programs and well-rounded core curriculum are forming students for fullfilling careers. Our alumni have found success in a variety of paths, ranging from Hollywood to independent media organizations, and from large corporations to their own entrepreneurial start-ups. Some of our alumni have discerned a religious vocation and joined seminary or religious communities. JPCatholic’s focus on project-based curriculum, one-on-one mentorship, and a rigorous business core enable our students to discover their professional calling and put them on the path to Impacting Culture for Christ.

In addition to our professional preparation, JPCatholic focuses on putting students on firm financial footing. Our innovative three-year completion model increases lifetime earnings. Our tuition lock guarantee and financial planning process help students prepare a viable pathway to graduation, the fruits of which can be seen in our above national average graduation rate and historically low loan default rate.

Life is more than just finances: 25% of our students have met their future spouse while growing professionally, spiritually, and intellectually in our Christ-centered community.

3Percentage of Students Who Began Their Studies in Fall 2017 and Returned in Fall 2018.

492% of the class of 2018 was employed full-time or part-time or pursuing further education within 6 months of graduation. Reported employment is not necessarily related to the students' field of study. Data was gathered from alumni surveys and the Career Services Office.

5*Data taken from six most recent graduating classes, based on surveys given six months after graduation. 76% of respondents who reported being employed (either full-time or part-time) answered Somewhat Related, Closely Related, or Directly Related to the question: "How closely related is your current primary activity (job, further education, etc.) to the degree you received from JPCatholic?"

6This percentage takes the total number of alumni from our bachelor's degree programs who are married or engaged to be married divided by the total number of undergraduate degrees conferred.

71.2% is from 2016 Cohort, which is the most recent reported default rate as of January 2020.

Innovative Year-Round Model

How does the year round program set up students for success?

Whereas the national average shows only 41% of students graduate college in four years, our model enables students to graduate in just three calendar years. Our model enables students to increase their lifetime earnings by joining the workforce earlier and as a result receive pay increases earlier and have more time to invest.

Accreditation and Catholic Identity

John Paul the Great Catholic University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). The WSCUC accreditation process aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness.

In addition to accreditation, JPCatholic is proud to be recognized by the Newman Society as a Faithful Catholic College.

Financial Stewardship & Future Growth

JPCatholic has a strong commitment and track record of prudent stewardship of our resources. Fundraising efforts have enabled us to provide financial aid to many of our student body. JPCatholic has also never ran an operational deficit, and there are few universities nationally who can claim that distinction. Our commitment to prudent stewardship has enabled us to nearly double our campus square footage with real estate acquisitions within the last five years, enabling the future expansion of our mission to Impact Culture for Christ at the intersection of Creative Arts, Business, and Humanities.
