Overgrown Church

Over 10 weeks, students had to conceptualize, model, texture, and light a scene with the theme “Abandoned” in mind. John Paul created all the models and textures for this overgrown church environment. He used Maya to model the church, fence, and other small elements, and used SpeedTree to create the trees and bushes. He created the grass and other foliage items in Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter, and all other textures using Substance Designer. He created the forest round texture with help from Daniel Thiger's forest ground substance graph. He lit and rendered the scene in Unreal Engine 4.25.
