Anime Club

Hayao Miyazaki, the brilliant mind behind Studio Ghibli, described the time he and many other young people spent away from reality as “a world they can say is truly theirs, a world unknown even to their parents.To young people, anime is something they incorporate into this private world.” The JPCatholic Anime Club takes that world and shares the wonders of anime with all different types of students here at JPCatholic. Anime is more than just a two-dimensional cartoon of people doing things; it’s a story that creates an impact on people’s hearts, something that people can debate and bond over. Our club opens that door to this new world to the whole community, hosting anime nights where we watch seasonal weekly shows and anime movie nights.
