JPCatholic’s Digital Music program provides an in-depth examination of music theory and history, coupled with hands-on experience in composition and performance. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you’ll get to develop your creative talent as a composer and lyricist, exploring the act of storytelling through music. You’ll work with industry standard equipment, learning professional skills for studio recording, electronic music composition, sound editing, working with a sound reinforcement system, optimizing live performances, and more.
Our dynamic community of creators provides ample opportunity for you to collaborate on a variety of projects, including films, video games, animated shorts, and theater productions. The flexible curriculum and hands-on experience prepares you for a variety of career paths in music production, musical performance, audio management, and more.

We have several Neumann modeled studio microphones to record voiceovers, podcasts, singing, and instrumental music. Students can bring their own laptop and record via our Apollo interface using our collection of state-of-the-art Universal Audio plugins. There's a dual channel modeled effects rack for multiple guitar or bass inputs, a digital piano, and an electronic drum set to record a full band. Students can also compose electronic music or film scores using our nearly two terabyte library of orchestral sample plugins.

The program is structured on a year-round quarter system, and you graduate with your Bachelors Degree in just 12 quarters.
