“One of my favorite things about studying Game Dev at JPCatholic is the collaboration that occurs among the students. While our professors provide us with plenty of feedback on our digital work, they also encourage us to observe and critique our peers so that we can all help each other improve. On top of that, many classes are based around working with each other so that we can get a variety of skills going all together. This is especially helpful when it comes to the game and animation focused classes, since it allows us to experience working as a team, just like how we would be doing in the field.”

“I am studying game development, specifically the artistic design of game development. Learning about the process and then working on it has been a magical experience. Seeing work truly come to life in a 3D environment is amazing. The idea that the worlds I create are not just flat on a page but actually alive and that I can in fact walk right into them is by far the most rewarding part of my work. I hope that through my work, I can give people that same experience. The experience of other worlds that inspire a sense of adventure and magic.”
Class of 2021 | Associate Unreal Engine Designer and Animator at Drive Studio
“"I came to this school with the dream of working on video games, but I had very little knowledge of 3D programs and environment creation. I’d often see the level of work produced by professionals in the industry and feel discouraged. Starting out I had little faith that I would be able to reach those levels. Through Prof. Sartain’s mentorship and the guidance of my other professors, I found the inspiration and the tools to pursue that dream. Now that I am close to graduating at JPCatholic, I feel ready to take on Game Art professionally, and I am forever grateful the school and to my professors.”
