About this talk

This is an important topic for parents as social media is becoming increasingly more depraved, invasive, and addictive. Our patron Pope St John Paul the Great during his trip to Los Angeles in 1987 addressed Entertainment industry professionals and said that their work “represented one of the most important American influences on the world today” and that “their smallest decisions can have global impact and that their work can be a force for great good or great evil.”

JPCatholic’s mission is to provide a Christ-centered response to achieve the ideas put forth by our patron for this most important global society influencing industry. The talk will touch on the important considerations for parenting today, where media is taking our culture, how Catholics in the workplace are challenged to be witnesses to Christ as well as the importance of being masters of their craft, and finally the critical underpinning roles played by the liberal arts in entertainment.
