JPCatholic and Christendom College Partner on Dual-Credit Pathway for M.Ed.
September 18, 2025
John Paul the Great Catholic University (JPCatholic) has entered into a new academic partnership with Christendom College’s Center for Educational Philosophy and Leadership (CEPL). Through this Memorandum of Understanding, JPCatholic undergraduates will have the opportunity to take graduate-level coursework that counts toward both their undergraduate degree and Christendom’s Master of Education (M.Ed.) program.
The agreement allows JPCatholic students to complete up to nine graduate credits by enrolling in three dual-credit courses:
- Philosophy of Education
- Introduction to the Liberal Arts
- Theology of Leadership
Students who earn a grade of “B” or higher in these courses will not only receive credit toward their bachelor’s degree, but can also have those credits transferred into Christendom’s M.Ed. program. Additionally, they will benefit from an expedited admissions process.
“This partnership provides a unique pathway for our students to begin graduate-level work during their undergraduate studies and to continue their formation in the philosophy and practice of Catholic education,” said JPCatholic President Derry Connolly.
Students who pursue this pathway will enter Christendom’s M.Ed. program with up to nine credits already completed, significantly advancing their progress in the 30-credit program. The graduate-level syllabi and academic standards for the dual-credit courses will be developed collaboratively by faculty from both institutions to ensure alignment and rigor.
This agreement will remain in place for an initial term of three years, with the possibility for renewal.
