Volleyball Club
The JPCatholic Volleyball Club is a new club which promotes healthy exercise, friendly competition, and builds a sense of community and appreciation for the sport. Our patron is St. Sebastian, the patron of athletes. This club focuses on how to create a community of like-minded Catholic athletes specifically while playing volleyball. This club is open to students of all levels of play and experience.
A typical meeting consists of scrimmages in the grass in which we grow a sense of teamwork and improve our volleyball skills. These scrimmages will last about 1 to 2 hours and are hosted in Grape Day Park. Scrimmages will occur once to twice a week depending on school schedules.
Outside from the weekly scrimmages, the volleyball club will plan days where we go to the beach with the surf club and host a 4 vs 4 sand tournament. These events will challenge us to use our volleyball skills on a different terrain and will provide an excellent opportunity to grow as a community away from campus. Days and times for meetings will be determined quarterly based on school schedules.Since this club is expanding, we are open to suggestions and feedback, so do not hesitate to reach out to Bridget Baker for any questions or if you would like to join.
We hope to see you on the courts!
