Student Healthcare

Since JPCatholic does not provide health insurance or health services, students access health services through local medical practitioners, hospitals, and clinics. Students should know which local health care providers accept their health insurance plan. Students should be prepared to assume the cost of care above and beyond that covered by their insurance. We strongly urge students not to use the emergency room except in an actual emergency - even with insurance, the price of one visit to the ER can be extremely expensive.

New students are encouraged to fill out a Medical History form and submit a physical examination completed by their family physician; however, this is not required by JPCatholic. Students must be covered by adequate health insurance, and are required to submit their insurance information to JPCatholic.

Vaccination Information

While JPCatholic does not require particular vaccinations, students should be aware of recommended immunizations; information on vaccines can be found through a local health care provider or county health department.

JPCatholic does not require students or staff to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
