Student Employment
A part time job, where the student works at minimum wage ($13/hour) for 15 hours a week for 40 weeks (the time that school is in session), will gross $7,800 per year. There are many retail businesses within walking distance of the apartments, and more opportunities nearby for those students who are motivated. Occasionally, internships that qualify for class credit are paid positions as well.
Job searching requires the initiative of the student and can be a challenge; it is recommended that students work with the Career Services Center if they need assistance.
A limited number of part-time positions are available on campus; note that earnings are taxable and taxes will be withheld. These positions are advertised as needed.
